HP Recommended

Bought an HP 2013 UltraSlim docking station which is the recommended docking station for my HP Elite 840 G3 laptop.  The laptop powers on when connected to the docking station but all the devices connected to the docking  station are not recognized including the monitor connected via VGA cable. HP recommended downloading the firmware and installing it. The file I downloaded from HP is called SP10009.exe. When I try to install it, I get the error:

"Vmmtool  Can not find Synaptics MST DP hub IC"
