Unable to type anything, either in a browser or even to log in. I found an on screen keyboard that let me log in, but cannot type anything beyond that. The cursor blinks but unable to type anything, not even in an e mail message. Was working earlier today, something went wrong right after I tried to put in a 2017 open spread sheet. I tried to make a shortcut and pinned it to the taskbar. It stopped working after that. I tried to refresh the PC, but no luck.

HI @Realtor-Barb,
Thank you for visiting the HP Forums!
I have looked into your issue about your HP Pavilion Notebook and issues with the Keyboard not working correctly. Change the layout using this document as this might be the issue. Restart when complete and test.
If this does not help try this document on troubleshooting the Keyboard. You might want to look at the section marked pressing keys does nothing to uninstall the Keyboard.
Try using Microsoft System Restore to before this happened.
Please let me know how this goes.
