HP G42-370TU Notebook PC
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My laptop’s entire screen goes sudden blackout. But the power button, capslock and the network key(f12) remains on. Capslock is blipping continuously.

I watched a YouTube video (https://youtu.be/5LLPhdymPeo) to fix the issue. The video has the same issue I have and suggesting to update BIOS. So i tried to fix the problem by following the steps of the video. But when they are saying to enter the serial number to identify my laptop i entered the serial number and then in the next page they’re saying that "We were unable to retrieve the list of drivers for your product.  Please select the desired operating system and select “Update” to try again". Thats why I can’t update my BIOS. Help me please.

Hi, on the top of your screen right under the navigation bar of the page you should see an option called "choose another OS".

I already have an windows 10 (64-bit) OS. But in the options of "choose another os" only XP (32 bit) drivers are downloadable.

Are u suggesting me to change my operating system?

No you shouldn't go back to XP
The BIOS updater may still work on Win10, but you should wait for confirmation from HP on this (any moderators/specialists please tell if i am right with that assumption).
