HP Notebook

I have a HP Notebook  product number 4XZ20EA#ABU. I have been unable o access my laptop for some time.

It started when my I would get error messages saying my Pin code is incorrect. I've changed the windows password and tried system restore but this asked for a password. When I entered that, that came up as incorrect as well. I cant physically get in  the laptop so contacted help via twitter and was eventually sent a usb recovery tool.

This didnt work the first few times I tried it so left it for a few weeks. I've tried to use it again but get the error message the recovery attempt has failed. I've done the diagnostics test and everything passed.

Can someone please help me or tell me my laptop is a pile of junk?

Thanks

Hi:

Two options you can try...

Your notebook should be supported by the HP cloud recovery tool.

If your PC is not working, use another Windows PC with W7 64 bit or newer and a 32 GB USB flash drive, to make a bootable USB recovery drive that will reinstall W10, the drivers and the software that originally came with your PC.

Here is an info link for how to use that utility...

You can check if your PC is supported by the cloud recovery tool at the link  below...

If that doesn't work, try clean installing W10 by making bootable installation media using the media creation tool at the link below.

After W10 has completed installing, you can install the drivers and available software from your notebook's support page.
