Hi. !

Please help me. I don't understand these random date changes. The PC went to 2049 for about 3 hours, then returned to the normal date. You can see the details in the two attachments. What could have caused this date change? When the date was changed, the Microsoft 365 Pack was installed on the PC in 2049. It is still installed on this date. I noticed fraudulent attempts to access my Microsoft account. An "Unusual Account Activity" message appeared the day after the date change. Suspecting hacking, I changed my Microsoft password, but I'm still having problems with Outlook, especially with Windows files dated 2049. Could the "Unusual Account Activity" message be related to the date change? Sincerely,

Check Time Settings:

  • Go to Settings > Time & Language > Date & Time.
  • Ensure that Set time automatically and Set time zone automatically are turned on.

Update System:

  • Ensure that Windows 11 and all your drivers are up-to-date. Go to Settings > Windows Update to check for updates.

Scan for Malware:

  • Run a full system scan with Windows Defender or any reputable antivirus software. This will help detect and remove any malware.

Review Account Security:

  • Verify and update the security settings for your Microsoft account. Change your password and enable two-factor authentication if you haven't already.

Detailed Instructions

Replace CMOS Battery:

  • If you suspect the CMOS battery is failing, refer to your user manual or an HP service center for replacing the battery.

Run Windows Update:

  • Go to Settings > Windows Update > Check for updates.
  • Ensure all updates are installed, including optional updates.

Perform Malware Scan:

  • Open Windows Security by searching for it in the Start menu.
  • Select Virus & threat protection > Quick scan.
  • For a full scan, choose Scan options > Full scan.
