I try to make room on my laptop for new programs. I discovered that I apparently have multiple copies of this program: HP One Agent. Every time I have tried to uninstall it I got an error. I tried to find the file manually, but the file path that appears in the error does not exist. So my questions are: Do these copies of HP One Agent really exist? Do they take up all the space that the system claims they do? And if they are there, how to eliminate them?
This is the error:

Hi @Adán,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like you're encountering an issue where multiple copies of HP One Agent are showing up on your laptop, but you are unable to uninstall them due to errors. Let's break down the potential issues and solutions.
Do these copies of HP One Agent really exist?
It's possible that multiple instances of HP One Agent appear in the system due to a glitch or remnants from previous installations or updates. Sometimes, software can leave behind residual files or registry entries, which might show as "multiple copies" even if they aren't taking up much space or causing problems.
Do they take up all the space that the system claims they do?
Typically, HP One Agent should not take up a large amount of space. However, if there are multiple or corrupt entries, it could seem like the program is taking more space than it actually does. To get a clearer idea, you can use a tool like Disk Cleanup or TreeSize Free to see how much space is being used by the program and whether it’s significant.
How to eliminate them?
If you’re still encountering difficulties with uninstalling HP One Agent, here are a few steps to try:
Method 1: Using Windows Settings to Uninstall
- Go to Settings > Apps.
- Find HP One Agent in the list and try to uninstall it.
- If you get an error, take note of the error code or message and try the next steps.
Method 2: Using Control Panel
- Open Control Panel > Programs and Features.
- Look for HP One Agent in the list of installed programs.
- Try uninstalling from there. If it fails, you can try using an uninstaller tool (like Revo Uninstaller) to forcibly remove it.
Method 3: Using the HP Support Assistant or HP Command Center
- If HP One Agent was installed through the HP Support Assistant or HP Command Center, you might need to use those programs to uninstall it.
- Open the HP Support Assistant and go to the "My Devices" tab. Check for any options to uninstall or repair the software.
Method 4: Manually Deleting Files and Registry Entries
If the program appears to be uninstalled but still takes up space or causes errors, you can try to remove the remnants manually. This requires caution, as making incorrect changes in the system can lead to other issues.
- Delete leftover files:
- Check the Program Files or Program Files (x86) folder for any residual HP folders and delete them.
- You can also look in C:\Users[YourUsername]\AppData\Local and AppData\Roaming for any HP-related folders to remove.
- Remove registry entries:
- Open Regedit (type regedit in the search bar and press Enter).
- Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall and HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall.
- Search for any entries related to HP One Agent and delete them (back up the registry before making any changes).
