Hi! I'd like to update my BIOS/UEFI, but the only provided updates are in .exe form. Is it possible to updain an update that can be applied from Linux (or just put on a USB drive)? Alternatively, is it safe to try and use an OS like FreeDOS or even ReactOS to apply the update?

HP have recently supported some hardware via Linux Vendor Firmware Service . However, their main competitor provide a much superior service ad update BIOS/UEFI wise meaning HP cannot afford to be left in the dust. The company needs to address outsider issue on BIOS.

The exe cab are practically compressed files which can get adapted following that documentation.
