Update firmware from Linux

Hello,

I want to update the firmware on an HP x360 Envy 15-bq213CL

I am attempting this to ensure that this machine has the latest security certificates. My understanding is that fwupdmg get-updates can report no available firmware updates when there is nothing to update (it's already at the most recent patch level), but this can also indicate that no (linux) compatible firmware was found, leaving the machine vulnerable.

The HP website only handles Windows and directs me to HP Support (here) for the firmware files.  Please send me a link to the relevant file.

Current OS:

Budgie 10.9.3 running on Ubuntu 25.10 (64 Bit) using the Linux 6.17.0-23.generic kernel.

Follow the steps in the link below,  You need a Windows PC to create the USB drive

HP Consumer Notebook PCs - Updating the BIOS (Basic Input Output System) (Windows) | HP® Support

Update the BIOS manually from a USB flash drive (outside of Windows)

If Windows does not open, use a second working computer with Internet access to download the BIOS update. Copy the update file to a USB flash drive and install it on the original computer.
