I have a 15t-dw300 that suddenly did a Windows Update from Windows 10 to 11. I did not initiate this. After the update, my laptop restarted in the middle of the night and landed on the BitLocker screen asking for a key. This laptop was setup without a Microsoft account and I never enabled BitLocker so I don't have a key . This laptop has very important business files that I need to operate my business. Is there anyway to get the files or get past the BitLocker screen. I'm willing to try anything.

Thanks for reaching out to the HP Support Community! 🎉
It sounds like the Windows update may have triggered BitLocker encryption unexpectedly.
I’m here to help you troubleshoot your issue and get things back on track. Just follow these steps below, and we’ll have you running smoothly in no time:
Check for a recovery key: If you’ve ever backed up the recovery key to a USB drive or printed it out, check for that. Sometimes, the key may have been saved to your Microsoft account even if you didn't intend to use it.
Try a system restore: If you can access the Advanced Startup Options, you can try to perform a system restore to a point before the update occurred. (NOTE: Backup before performing the restore)

I’m pretty confident this will do the trick! But hey, if you run into any bumps along the way or need a little extra help, just give me a shout! I’ve got your back. 💪
