Hello HP team,
I recently just found a Bios update version F.57 Rev.A for my hp laptop. I currently have the version (Insyde F.42, 3/18/2015).
So my question is it safe to update to the newer version of the BIOS ? Is the F.57 Rev.A compatible with the Windows 10 (64-bit) or is it only for the Windows 8 ?
Thank you.
Roy.

Should not have a problem. I would use the option to make a bootable BIOS update flash drive and do it from there. We had some BIOS flashes some time back that had to be done under a specific version of Windows or brick the system but not aware of any on laptop originaly delivered with Windows 8 where doing it on Windows 10 is an issue. However, if anyone knows its @Paul_Tikkanen . He will likely see the mention and come in and let you know.

Hi, @Roy94 :
I do not have any info on that model series and running BIOS updates in an unsupported operating system.
If you can make a bootable BIOS update flash drive with that file and update the BIOS outside of the Windows environment, you should be fine.
If you can't update the BIOS with a bootable flash drive, I usually recommend that folks install a supported operating system, update the BIOS and then reinstall the operating system they were using at the time.
