The laptop charging cable with AC adapter that came with my laptop does not work in any way to charge my laptop (no charging light and no increase in battery percentage). It does not work when plugged in to the wall at any location. The AC adapter part is well fitted with minimal wiggle. A USB-C charger also did not work (no charging light and no increase in battery percentage) despite what the HP website states on the article titled "3 Different Ways To Charge a Laptop Without a Charger". I figured that I had to do a BIOS update to make it charge again. The laptop ran out of power during the BIOS update. I tried using a similar power cable from Dell that was able to fit in to the laptop's charging port. The charging light blinked white in cycles of 3 blinks from it. The laptop was able to turn on and had a battery percentage of 100%. However, when I unplugged it, the laptop went black and unresponsive. Further attempts to use the same Dell power cable failed. Later attempts to charge the laptop with the USB-C, original charging cable, and Dell power cable all failed. Without power, my laptop cannot complete the BIOS update. Without completing the BIOS update, my computer cannot charge or accept power. I also tried taking apart the laptop to get to the battery but decided against it due to the risk of breaking the bottom protective cover. I do not know the model of the laptop because that information requires me to take off the bottom protective cover to find. Any suggestions that aren't the same repeated suggestions in HP website articles and other community forum posts would be greatly appreciated.
