Updating HP Diagnostics

When entering diagnostics from restart and holding down f2 key, Diagnostics starts and I see message that program is out of date.

When select update get message

failed to download tar file

What to do?

I want to check my laptop for problems and using the latest version would appear to be sensible

It looks like you can get the latest version of the HP UEFI diagnostics software from the link below.

HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI – v8.4.0.0

HP PC Hardware Diagnostics | HP® Support

Click on the purple 'Diagnose PC Hardware Issues Outside of the OS' box, and it will take you to the download button.
