Hi @Lemax,
Good Day. A warm welcome to the HP community. I reviewed the post regarding Windows !0 upgrade errors I will be delighted to assist you here.
Superb description, brilliant troubleshooting and terrific observations made before posting. Kudos to you for that. 🙂
To assist you with accurate information I would require more information regarding this.
- Did you run complete system diagnostics on the computer?
For now please try these steps:
- Please run the extensive tests and component tests on your computer which takes 2 hours to complete to eliminate hardware failures. If any component fails, please make a note of the failure code.
- If the diagnostics pass please follow the prescribed steps from this link: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_8-update/error-code-0xc0000034-in-windows-... and check if it fixes the issue. This is a Microsoft community link and the solution has worked.
- Otherwise please perform a complete system recovery to factory settings from this link: https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03489643 and then upgrade to Windows 10 again. Please select the most appropriate option that best describes your computer.
Please perform all these steps patiently as it is critical to resolving the issue. The trick is to remain patient, please. Please note that I am not overloading you with a lot of troubleshooting steps. Instead, just like you, I am eager to ensure that the problem gets resolved. So I am providing you with more resources and information at your disposal to deal with the situation better.
Hope this helps. Let me know how this goes. I genuinely hope the issue gets resolved without hassles and the unit works great. 🙂 Please reach out for any issues and I'll be there to assist you. 🙂
Take care now and have a splendid week ahead. 🙂

Hi David. Thank you for your fast reply on helping me on my problem.
- I did try also the system diagnosis.
- I did try the extensive test on my laptop.
- I did the system recovery.
First was to restore it - Failed
Second was to recover it - Failed
Third was to erase everything and bring it back to windows 8.1 64bit - Success
- Now the problem start when I upgrade it to windows 10.
First was to upgrade it and download it directly to my laptop - Failed
Second was to upgrade to windows 10 but save it first to a zip drive then install windows 10 using the zipdrive. - Success. and hoping it womt crash again. But until now my laptop has crashed yet and hoping it wont. Will keep you posted again if it crashes. Thank you very much.
