cq57-401eo
Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit)

Hello.

My HP is dead. I'd like to get this working again, it has got some water to it while running couple of years ago.

Now I opened it and thought to change MB so I wonder what are the models which I can replace this system MB?

It has AMD processor but I guess any would do if I get more speed, so would need the number for the parts I can use on this?

cq57-401eo is the exact model

The MB which I have took off says "replace with spare part #657324-001"

but this was already too slow for use so I would like to know is there anything to do to get more speed and this laptop work again at same time?

If I use HM65 motherboard from CQ-57, what's the fastest processor what that motherboard supports without problems?

Socket seems to be PGA988 and I think that's the best one I could get to that laptop? Please correct if I am wrong.

I think atleast MB with E-450 would fit straight away, but..

upgrading 1300>1650mhz is much less than what would get with Intel processors.

HALP! 😛

So the 646179-001 is the top MB. with HD 6470 with it. If I buy it, what processors does it support max? or with upgraded bios?

Also seems 430/431 Notebook  spare parts would do, there the best option is "Sandy Brg processor i5-2540M, 2.6 GHz"

from https://support.hp.com/bg-en/document/c02822285 Atleast the MB looks exactly same. Correct me if I am wrong, I an quite nub with laptop stuff.
