Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My laptop was not working smoothly, so i performed resetting with files safe. But afer restart it was stuck in blue screen saying automatic repair. To know, i performed chkdsc operation and got problem with drive d and repaired it after this restarted the system, laptop was running smoothly but when i gone to install driver updates or any other installation it says bad image error with C:/windows /SYDTEM32/secur32. dll and also not able to play movies and songs with a variety of error but one thing is common :dll file is missing then  i checked windowsNT and there was no dll folder. Now i am stuck badly as it is not able to open setting and says refreshing may solve i done the same but there was some problem. Also it is not recognising usb ports says windows cannot access this disc, so i also cannot download another windows and install. Help me on this issue, i will be grateful to you!

If I understood you correctly,  Windows is able to start and load. In this case, try to repair Windows

 

Ensure your PC is online (connected to the Internet).
Click on Start, type and run Command Prompt (CMD) as an administrator

From there, run the DISM command to repair online your Windows 10

Type (run) there these commands

 

DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

and hit [ENTER]

Be patient, it may take several minutes to complete

 

dism-restorehealth-windows-10

 

 When ready, run sfc.exe /scannow

and hit [ENTER]

Hello friend,your solution looks to be workable but that day after posting i resetted the pc second time with remove everything option and after that now i am not able to boot into windows. Then, how can i give command to it? Suggest me some other way! Please reply as soon as you can.

Thank you for posting back.

 

There are 2 options now:

 

- it is just stuck (temporary glitch)

or

- Windows reset did not go well, did not complete and now you are left without any working operating system

 

Let's understand and try to fix it:

 

1. Try hard restart/hard reset (to rule out the temporary glitch)

 

Press the power on-button on your PC and hold it for about 5-10 seconds until your computer powers off completely.

Remove and unplug any external periferals and accessories.

Press once the power-on button to turn on the PC and wait if it will start now. Wait...

 

If it still fails to load properly, this will confirm the reset did not complete correctly - you have no operating system. Go ahead with the next steps

 

2. Try performing the Reset again

or

3. Reinstall Windows 10 - clean vanilla Windows 10 installation

3) Sometimes the recovery partition may have gone corrupted. Therefore, the recovery process (F11) may not complete successfully. In this case you will have to go the longer way of performing clean "vanilla" Windows 10 installation. The process may take slightly longer but may be better for the long run.
