Hi
I am curious about this matter.
My phone recently got attack by a malware or virus, i even do not know.
And when i connected with my laptop the antivirus that i have installed suddenly changed to the windows defender. But still the antivirus showed like it is working well.
Is that because of the virus attacking my laptop after the connection?
And why suddenly system changed my security apps into windows defender even inside the control panel as i checked it out.

Hi! @WexyMaxy, Welcome to HP forums!
I understand you have virus issues with your PC.
Don't worry I'll try to help you out.
Did you make any hardware or software changes on your PC?
As you mentioned even after you connected your phone to your PC the antivirus changes to Windows Defender.
Please be informed that you can turn off Windows Defender temporarily but after sometime it will get activated automatically as that by design. If you are using any third party security software then Windows Defender will get turned off automatically.
Disable Antivirus software.
Disable the Antivirus software temporarily and check, if it helps.
Note: Antivirus software can help protect the computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable the antivirus software. If you do have to temporarily disable it to install other software, you should re-enable it as soon as you're done. If you are connected to the Internet or a network during the time the antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.
Select the Start button, then select Settings > Update & Security.
Select Windows Defender, then turn Real-time protection on or off.
If the issue persists, please contact Microsoft support or HP smart friend services for more assistance.
