HP 15.6 inch Laptop PC 15-e2000 (2K3D8AV)

Hello. I want to know about the possibility of installing a BIOS with the "advanced" tab. In order to change the VRAM volume from 512 MB to 1+ GB. Perhaps this platform has support for another BIOS? HP Laptop 15s-eq2073ur (4E869EA)

Hi @VadimLogis

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Changing VRAM settings typically depends on the specific BIOS features offered by the manufacturer. For HP laptops, especially consumer models like the HP Laptop 15s-eq2073ur, the options available in the BIOS can be limited.

Steps to Check BIOS Options:

Access the BIOS:

  • Restart your laptop and press the appropriate key (usually F10, Esc, or Del) immediately after turning it on to enter the BIOS setup.

Explore the BIOS Menu:

  • Look for tabs such as "Advanced" or "Configuration." If you see options related to graphics settings, you might be able to adjust VRAM.

Check for Dedicated Graphics:

  • If your laptop has integrated graphics, it may allow some adjustment of shared memory. If it has dedicated graphics, the VRAM may be fixed.

BIOS Updates:

Check for BIOS Updates:

  • Visit the HP support website and search for your laptop model. Look for any BIOS updates that may add new features.

Compatibility with Other BIOS:

  • Installing a different BIOS is risky and generally not recommended, as it can void your warranty and potentially brick your device. Stick with HP's official BIOS versions for your model.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
