Hello everyone,

 

i bought my laptop on Amazon on December 30th, 2018. A few days later, I installed Windows 10 directly, without saving FreeDos 2.0, or making a backup of it. Is there someone who can make the version of FreeDos back then available to me for download?

Did you try their website ????  http://www.freedos.org/

According to wikipedia the latest is 1.2

Hello leee488,

 

thank you very much for the answer and the sugguestion.

 

Now i know where to get the newest FreeDos, but on the laptop there was also the model-specific manual that could be selected from a selection menu.

 

I would like to have the entire boot environment to be saved as it was stored on the SSD when the laptop was started for the first time.

 

I hope that I have now expressed myself more understandably.

Contact HP if you insist on whatever was on the laptop when you bought it.
