Hi @AtosLoveU,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like you're experiencing a hardware issue with your HP Victus 16 laptop's back fan. If the fan isn't working properly, it could be due to various reasons such as dust accumulation, a malfunctioning fan motor, or a connection issue.
Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the problem.
- Check for Dust Build-Up: Dust accumulation can often hinder the performance of fans. Make sure to clean the vents and fan using compressed air or a soft brush.
- Verify Fan Settings in BIOS: Sometimes, fan settings can be adjusted in the BIOS. Enter the BIOS menu during startup (usually by pressing F10 or Esc repeatedly) and check if the fan settings are configured correctly.
- Update Drivers and Firmware: Ensure that your laptop's drivers and firmware are up to date. Sometimes, updating these components can resolve hardware issues.
- Inspect Hardware Connections: If you're comfortable with it, you can open up the laptop (if it's not under warranty) and check the connections of the back fan. Ensure that it's properly connected to the motherboard.
- Temperature Monitoring Software: Install temperature monitoring software like HWMonitor or SpeedFan to check if the back fan is being detected by the system and if it's functioning properly.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
