I bought my laptop 1 year ago and although i installed windows 11 through Windows Update in the hp support i cannot find a bios update compatible for windows 11. I get a notification that my pc needs to be restarted to update the firmware but when i click it nothing happens.

Hi, you may need to roll back to your previous Operating System, preferably Windows 10. Windows 11 is still in early development so most drivers, software, BIOS and even hardware are not supported on the operating system at the moment.

Hi, @velldimi
That was not a BIOS update that installed and is causing the error with the system firmware device.
I had the same thing happen on a couple of my newer HP notebooks with the AMD chipsets.
I think the version that installed is incompatible with the system firmware.
You can fix the problem by clicking on the system firmware device, click on the driver tab and click on 'Rollback driver'
The device should now report operating properly.
Then the update will probably try and install again, so run the Microsoft Hide Windows Update utility that I zipped up and attached below to prevent the update from trying to install again.
Download, unzip and run the update.
A window will open.
If the system firmware update shows up in the program, check the box to hide the update and it will not install.
You can use this utility on just about any update you don't want installed, and if you ever decide you want to run an update you hid, run the utility again and check the box to unhide the update you want to install, and you will be able to install if from Windows Update again.

The only other thing you can do then would be to right click on the device, select 'Uninstall' restart the PC and see if Windows installs it correctly so the ! goes away.
The run the hide windows update utility to see if it finds the update is pending to reinstall itself.
