HP Pavilion - 14-ce3606sa
Microsoft Windows 11

The windows update KB5022497 - Cumulative update for .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8.1 for windows 11, version 22H22 for x64  (Windows 11 22h2 for x64 causes the in built screen on HP Pavilion - 14-ce3606sa to flicker/ go black as the mouse is moved to a user input area.

I've reset windows, upgraded all drivers, firmware but the issue persists. If I uninstall the update it reverts to being ok.

Please advise

Hi:

If the update continues to get automatically installed, you can prevent the update from reinstalling by running the Microsoft Hide Windows Update utility that I zipped up and attached below.

After you uninstall the update, run the hide windows update utility.

It will run and should find the KB5022497 update pending to be installed.

Check the box to hide the update.

The utility will run and report the problem is 'Fixed.'

Exit out of the utility and you should not be bothered by that update again.

Hopefully when the next update is released that bug will have been rectified.

If not, then you know what you will have to do.
