Wanting to buy new 17 inch laptop with windows 7 or Windows 8.1. Can Find them on HP website. Why?

Starting with any Intel based PC with a 7th gen core processor and Kaby Lake chipset, only W10 is supported.

 

Intel didn't develop any graphics drivers except for W10.

 

If you want an Intel based PC, then you will have to get one with the 6th gen core processor and skylake chipset.

 

Those models are already two processor generations old.  Intel is on to the 8th gen core processors now.

Hi,

 

Very simple: machines with latest CPU's (both Intel and AMD)  only run Windows 10. You can ask Microsoft, Intel and AMD.

HP does have some Windows 7 laptops-but no 17". Use the link below. In the left sidebar of the page put a check in "Windows 7" :
