I want to activate the Sign-in options, including ways to sign in with Facial recognition (Windows Hello), but it states that this option is currently unavailable. Please help me with this issue.

Hi @Sendy8

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.

It looks like your HP Pavilion x360 14-ek2000 might not have the necessary infrared (IR) camera required for Windows Hello facial recognition.

Some HP Pavilion models come with a standard HP TrueVision HD Camera, which does not support facial recognition, while others have an HP TrueVision HD IR Camera, which does.

Here’s what you can do:

  1. Check Your Camera Type – Go to Device Manager > Imaging Devices and look for an IR camera.
  2. Update Camera Drivers – If you have an IR camera, update its drivers via Device Manager or HP’s support page.
  3. Reinstall Windows Hello – Remove and reconfigure Windows Hello settings under Settings > Accounts > Sign-in options.

If your laptop doesn’t have an IR camera, facial recognition won’t be available. You might need to use PIN or fingerprint authentication instead. Let me know if you need help with that!
