Basically, everyone has asked a question and has received "0" answers, two responses that did not address the questions, so I'm going to be direct and ask a question that only has two answers: Yes and No.
If I remove the Energy Star Software will my computer run without issues? (Yes = no issues) (No= issues)
If the answer is No, please explain.
thanks so much,
Ken

The answer is YES! Your computer will not be affected.
I have uninstalled this software on many HP computers with no issues whatsoever.
I was the one that originally asked this question. Never did get a clear answer from any associated with HP.

Man, I know its been a year since you posted this and probably wont read this. But thank you for your direct and wonderful question that happens to match mine to a tee. This guy that responded to you somehow got a like...??? **bleep** He did exactly what you explicitly directed the answerer not to.... Give a vague answer without any clarification to delete or not. My computer is slow as H. And I needed to delete unused apps. So I as you came accross this same problem and spent way too much time on it. [edit]
