Product: Notebook HP G60-549-DX
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 in S Mode 
Good night. I bought a g60-549dx that came with Dual core T4300 2.1 Ghz processor, socket 478 and I want to put a better processor. I would like to know which processors are compatible for this processor. Could you help me? Are Core 2 duo and Core 2 Quad compatible? What other processors are compatible?

Hi:

 

it depends on what chipset your specific model notebook has.

 

If it has the GM45 chipset, you can upgrade to any of the supported processors listed in chapter 1 of the service manual.

If it has the GL40 chipset, the best you could do would be the T5900.

 

I have zipped up and attached a free utility below that will report what chipset your notebook comes with.
