Officially only 2 x 8 GB is supported but on almost every notebook with an Intel 8th gen core processor such as yours, you can install 2 x 16 GB of memory.

You have a choice...almost a 100% sure bet 2 x 16 GB will work, or take the cautious approach and install an 8 GB memory chip.

You will not find any HP written source that indicates 32 GB of memory is supported.

Hi:

Below is the link to the Crucial memory/SSD report for your notebook.

https://www.crucial.com/compatible-upgrade-for/hP-Compaq/pavilion-15-cc129tx

It supports 2 x 16 GB of memory.

In order for the memory to run in dual channel mode, you would need to install the memory in matching capacities (2 x 8 GB, 2 x 16 GB).

If you plan on maxing out the memory someday, buy the 16 GB chip.  No sense in wasting 2 perfectly good 8 GB chips.

Yes I have already checked crucial website

As per HP service manual the maximum ram supported for this board is 16gb (2*8gb).

 That’s why I’m confused

Thank you so much for the information, I’m planning to upgrade to 8+16gb

I have another doubt too

I’m planing to install Samsung 970 pro 512gb

will it work in pcie3.0 *4 or pcie3.0 *2?

You're very welcome.

All I know is that NVMe drives are supported in the model series, but I don't know at what speed they will run.

Okay Thank you

I will inform you as soon as I upgrade my notebook

Anytime.

Glad to have been of assistance.

Looking forward to reading about the results of your PC upgrade project.

I was thinking...run this free utility from the link below (use the portable version) and see if it will tell you the speed of the NVMe slot in your PC.

This tool provides a lot of information regarding the hardware your PC has.
