Welcome to the HP English Community --

True - there is a point when there are no longer HP drivers or software updates for a device.

When that happens depends on the device.

Unless the product stops working, lack of new / updated drivers or software does not mean you must stop using the product.

Lack of updates does mean the product is aging --

If you care to do so, perhaps it is time to start looking for new tech.

Should your computer be running a supported version of Windows,

Check for available OS updates in Windows Updates.

That might be enough.

Obsolete is different from Retired.

When HP removes all documentation and support for a major device type, for example, a computer or printer, the device is added to the Retired Products database.

Is your HP Product “vintage? (Ten years of age or older)

Typically, HP stops supporting consumer products after ten years. Read the policy and find out if your HP device is on the list. “EOL”

What else?

HP does not typically publish a list of "Obsolete" models, though there might be related articles available online.
