Accidentally left my HP Notebook “sleeping” for 2 days. Now it won’t start up. Just black screen.
No hp logo. How long before i might see it open, since plugging it in a half hour ago?

There is no average time or way to predict when the charge level will be high enough -- but the more important concern is that the battery may have died -- as modern laptops do not power off when you shut then down; instead, they go into a hybrid sleep -- which uses power.
If this comes back up OK, then go into Control Panel (not Settings) and change the power settings to shut down the laptop when you power it off.

Thank you for the answer. I was not aware that modern computers go into the hybrid sleep you mentioned.
As for getting it to turn on, fortunately an I.T. friend suggested holding down the power button ling enough for the laptop to start up. I had mistakenly thought that holding it down for a few seconds was what to do.
So all’s good now, and I shall straight away change those power settings, as you suggest.
Thank you again,
B.
