Hi,

Please provide the model or product number of the notebook

Find product and serial numbers for HP PCs, printers, and accessories | HP® Customer Support

 

Try performing HP diagnostics at boot (could be a drive problem)

Turn off the PC by holding the power button

Turn on the PC and repeatedly keep hitting the ESC key until the startup menu appears

Press F2 to enter diagnostics

Perform the fast system test

Let us know if there are any hardware failures.
