Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I operate on windows 10 64 bit system. A couple weeks back i was trying to download some music and it came back saying download failed virus scan failed. Somehow my virus scan was disabled, I am not sure what I did, I dont want to factory reset my computer and the problem remain and i lose what i have saved as it is. Is there somehwere in the settings i can find to turn the virus scan back on?

@BroMarcus

You're most likely up against two problems, since you are running Win10.

First, you're probably using Edge, the default Win10 browser, and that has problems.  Here's an article about the SmartScreen filter and Edge:  https://www.windowscentral.com/how-download-blocked-files-smartscreen-filter-microsoft-edge

Second, You're probably also running Windows Defender, the default AV product with Win10. As a test, you can follow the instructions in this thread to disable it:  https://www.wisecleaner.com/how-to/119-how-to-turn-off-windows-defender-in-windows-10.html

Good Luck
