Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

When getting a new computer I usually dual boot Ubuntu on it.
With this laptop, I am  going to completely remove windows and use just Ubuntu.

 

Now, this may be a stupid question, but when I install Ubuntu on my laptop, will the back light function be functional?
I want to know this because I am unsure if the back light feature is apart of windows and will not work without it.
I know when installing Linux some functions may not be available. will this be one of them?

Also, will removing windows completely void the warranty?

I would appreciate it if somebody could take the time out of their day and answer my pretty stupid question!
