HP Pavilion 15-n003sq
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Recently installed a fresh Windows 10 PRO OEM, fully updated.

After trying some suggestions the situation described in the subject, continues.

Tried "Turn on fast start-up (recommended)". Laptop fully shuts down sometimes, but not all the time and when it sleeps, stays off, and i have to long press shutdown button and start windows again.

Tried to upgrade, disable MEI driver. The driver is up to date, after disable MEI driver, sometimes fully shuts down, but after a while, the situation in the subject persists.

https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebooks-Archive-Read-Only/Sleep-and-Shutdown-issues-after-upgrading-...

The biggest issue i face is that now i shutdown Windows 10 and seems to only shutdown the software but remains powered on. Meaning i have to manually press power button to shut down completely/power off.

When starting the computer, there are no error messages, meaning the software is properly shut down, but it remains powered on.

Same issue with sleep function. It sleeps and stays asleep.

On my Windows 8.1, that was installed previously, the laptop did shut down completely so the hardware is fine.

Thank you

Hi:

I don't know what IMEI driver version you installed.

The ones on the support page for your notebook are out of date.

Did you try this IMEI driver?

Thank you for the last IMEI driver.

sp79059.exe provides IMEI with version 11.6.0.1042 from 16.11.2016.

After two trials, sleep and shutdown works perfectly and i re-enabled "Turn on fast start-up (recommended)".

Will close the post as solved after a few days, to openly say it works.
