HP Pavilion Gaming - 15-ec0007ua

Hi, I've been using a laptop for a couple of years now and everything has been working fine.

One day I open my device and connect the charger, after that my processor reduced its speed to 0.4 GHz, after removing the charger it starts working much faster. How can this be fixed?

Hi @Vasiliy4763,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

There could be a few different reasons why your HP Pavilion Gaming laptop is crashing when the charger is connected. Here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot the issue.

  • Check the charger: Make sure the charger you're using is the correct one for your laptop model and that it's functioning properly. Try using a different charger to see if the problem persists.
  • Check the battery: If the battery is old or damaged, it may not be able to hold a charge properly. Try removing the battery and running the laptop solely on AC power to see if the problem goes away.
  • Check the power settings: Your laptop's power settings may be causing it to crash when the charger is connected. Try changing the power settings to "balanced" or "high performance" and see if that resolves the issue.
  • Update drivers: Make sure your laptop's drivers are up-to-date, including the power management driver. You can download the latest drivers from HP's website.
  • Check for malware: Malware can cause all sorts of problems on your computer, including crashes. Run a malware scan to make sure your laptop is clean.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
