Hi @ujjwal777,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand you’re waiting for the BIOS F20 update for your HP Omen 16, and the current F17 version is causing system issues. Let’s go through a few points to help clarify what’s happening and what you can do in the meantime.

BIOS Updates Are Released in Phases
HP rolls out BIOS updates gradually based on model configurations, regions, and validation stages. Even if F20 is released for some Omen 16 variants, it might not yet be available for your exact model number or hardware configuration.

Check for Updates via HP Support Assistant
Open HP Support Assistant and select Updates. If the BIOS F20 version isn’t listed yet, it means your system isn’t included in the current release batch. The update will appear automatically once validated for your unit.

Monitor the HP Software and Driver Page
Visit HP’s official support website, enter your exact product number, and check under BIOS in the Driver – Firmware section. This page updates first when new firmware is released.

Avoid Manual Installation from Another Model
Installing BIOS meant for a similar but different Omen 16 model can cause startup failures or hardware instability. Always wait for the version that matches your specific product number.

I hope this helps.
