I have bought a used 650 G1 Notebook with Windows 10 Pro x64. I wanted to reinstall the Windows because I hated the GPT disk. After convercion to MBR I came up a problem, that there are no comlete drivers in the HP support website. No 3D guard driver, no HD8750 driver, SMB driver, etc. Where ca I find them? Many thanks for every help.

try these support apps
Get the latest HP support assistant and see what it recommends
https://support.hp.com/us-en/help/hp-support-assistant
Intel also has a support assistant
https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/intel-driver-support-assistant.html
The SMB is the chipset. If the intel assistant does not find it then try the one from your system page
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp79001-79500/sp79059.exe
There are quite a few bios updates but be aware it is always dangerous to update the bios

All your drivers are here. Just select windows 10
If a driver is missing then look in 7 or 8 just make sure you get 64bit if using 64bit windows 10
https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/hp-probook-650-g1-notebook-pc/5405400
Alternately, you can obtain the original CDs, install windows 7 or 8 (pro) then do an upgrade to 10 pro by putting in the windows 10 (or 11***) USB ISO and running "setup.exe" on the windows 10 USB. This will update 7 or 8 to 10 and preserver the original HP software
You are licensed for 10 already so no need to buy 10.

***is it possible to run 11. Let me know if you want to do that. You need to have 10 working first.

Thank you for the answer. I was not accurate enough. The installation was successful, but there remained unknown devices in the device manager. I installed the 3D driver from that site and Windows says that is not compatible with the system. AMD graphic driver was missing, but the Windows 8.1 driver went on (so it is ok). I did not found SMB driver. Yes Windows 10 is licensed. After install, it was automatcally registered.

Thank you for your answer. I partly used your offer for finding the drivers. The rest was found by the windows update, except the bluetooth, which I found in an other discussion:
Now everything is ok.
Thank for your help

I am glad you got it working and were able to use that post from our expert Paul.
Working with Microsoft CABs is difficult as there is no install procedure. Finding the correct driver from VEN and DEV parameters is beyond what most users can do. Currently there is a serious problem (IMHO) with camera drivers and it is not just an HP problem. Updates from Microsoft remove the correct driver and many HP laptop support resources do not provide a download link for cameras and one must hunt for a solution like you did. I have read where users did a cloud restore on their laptop to get the camera working in time for a schedule zoom business meeting.
The post by Ste_1 showed "expand xyz.cab -f xxx" but windows 11 has the right click "open" which works. One just has to copy all the files and paste them somewhere then update the device driver.
