Windows 10 uses "Digital Entitlement".

If you are trying to upgrade to Windows 10 from Windows 7 or 8 and try to do a clean install from the media created ISO you will find you need a product key which you don't have.  The only way to do this successfully  is to use the  upgrade option from the downloaded software using the Windows 10 Media Creation tool.  PC World have highlighted that in Windows 10 utilities like Magical Jelly Bean Key Finder  or Belarc Advisor  find generic product keys instead of authentic ones.

The key Windows 10 Pro users will see in KeyFinder or Belarc Advisor: VK7JG-NPHTM-C97JM-9MPGT-3V66T.

In  Build 10240 if you use the PowerShell script from the Hexus forums on Windows 10 Pro  it should fetch this: T44CG-JDJH7-VJ2WF-DY4X9-HCFC6.

Microsoft uses now,  apparently, a process called "Digital Entitlement" which is stored in the BIOS so if you replace your Motherboard, for example, your "Digital Entitlement" will likely disappear and Windows 10 won’t activate.

So before making any changes make sure to back-up throroughly!
