<Sigh>  Every time I read one of these Factory-Reset issues posts I cringe and continue to wonder why everyone seems to think a factory reset is a miracle cure when, in many cases, it only serves to make things worse!

If Office 365 came already installed by HP, then you would have information along with that which contained the product key.  If you did not keep that, and (apparently) made no effort to record that key before you forced the Factory Reset, you are lost now because HP, as far as I know, keeps no records of individual MS office license keys.

If you bought Office 365, then you would have to contact where you bought it to see if their purchase records contain the product key.  If they don't, then you might be able to get it from Microsoft, but that is up to them.

LoL Yeah it does make it worse.

I use the device only for my work and my work is related to marketing. I have little knowledge on using computers. Sometimes I totally rely on YouTube and HP chat support.

Before I posted this question I understood that HP does not give support to non-warranty devices. This was the first step to frustration. Then I asked Microsoft and they said the key comes with the manufacturer.

Now I had neither Microsoft's support nor HP's (non-warranty). This was delaying my work and it was 2:00 AM!

I had a meeting with a client today and I had to  prepare a presentation.

I am actually angry on HP's support. All these years they made me feel like I was taken care of and all of a sudden they hung me dry. LoL

Btw, I found the key. I logged in Microsoft account and it was there. Took over four hours to get a simple key. 😕 Now the frustration is over the roof. I have no presentation and no support. XD XD I hope it doesn't get worse. LoL

Thank you 🙂
