Hi!
I want to download drivers for Windows 11 23H2. On a product page for 15-fd0017ci (7P514EA)
https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/hp-15.6-inch-laptop-pc-15-fd0000/model/2101497702?sku=7P514EA
after choosing OS - Window11 - there are two options
1. windows 11
2. windows 11 version 22H2 (64 bit)
What does the first option for - is it for 21H2 or 23H2 or for both of them?

Hi,
Under Windows 11 you will find all the drivers for Windows 11 ( so windows 11 version 22H2 (64 bit) will be included)
You can download from the windows 11 version 22H2 (64 bit) where there will be the latest ones.
You could also install HP support assistant if you want automatic updates and more

Hope it helps,
David

So, the first option "Windows 11" includes drivers for 21H2, 22H2 and 23H2
And the second option "Windows 11 22H2" includes drivers for only 22h2?
Am I right?
So if I need drivers for the 23H2 I should choose the first option - "Windows 11"?

Hi,
Choose the 22h2 version which will have latest drivers which will also work with 23h2
Usually Windows will also automatically install the latest drivers. You can check through Windows update.
Hope it helps,
David

WHERE did you get Win10 from? From MS? If so, you hosed up your laptop BIG TIME and should NOT have done this, as NOW, you no longer have the HP drivers needed for the hardware on your laptop.
You were being given excellent support -- you should have followed their directions instead of blindly installing a different OS version.

Thank you for your reply.
I marked it as not helpfull because it was written under emotions and with lot of capslock.
If you read the thread more carefully you would notice that i already tried installing windows 11 with all drivers installed from windows update. And this config causes me eyestrain - thats why i tried windows 10.
As for now i dont know what exactly causes me eyestrain - maybe temporal dithering included in windows 11.
Windows 10 (which I just installed) does not cause such problems.
One of the solutions I tried for windows 11 is to disable temporal dithering using the tool mentioned on ledstrain.org forum:
https://kawamoto.no-ip.org/henteko/myapp_en.html
This makes the overal picture looks better even though eyestrain remains.
As mentiones in Intel website they recommend contact manufacturer of laptop for settings of temporal dithering
https://community.intel.com/t5/Graphics/Help-disabling-temporal-dithering/td-p/1511793
Hope for some solution from HP.
Still looking for solution.
I will be grateful for any constructive help.

The driver updates from MS are largely useless for HP laptops as once again, they are the generic drivers that MS provides. Not only that, but they can trash your PC -- which is why I have MS driver updates disabled on all the PCs I support. The HP drivers are what you need.
