I am currently facing issues with Windows 11 23H2 updates due to my system partition being only 100 MB. I want to avoid reinstalling Windows. To create space for the update to proceed, I deleted some font files, and it worked for now. However, I noticed that HP files are occupying approximately 70 MB of space. I am unsure if all of these files are necessary. Is there a way to safely delete some of these files? I contacted HP customer support for assistance, but the representative did not seem knowledgeable about this issue. There is a new FW released but I am not sure if I can upgrade with low space in system partition. EFI directory Screenshot new.png

@Puzzletechhie,

The EFI\Microsoft and \Boot folders store critical boot system files, so it's best to stay away from them.

HP BIOS stores the current working .bin file in the EFI\HP. . .\current folder, which is used to restore BIOS in an event of the BIOS corruption.

But it can be safely deleted. The removal of the EFI\. . .\Current\W70_010305.bin file should provide at least 16 MB of free space in the EFI partition.
