White Screen With Colorful Lines

Hey All,

I'm repairing a HP G60 235DX for my neighbor. When the laptop boots, it has a white screen with multiple white lines. i can't find a lot of information on how to fix this, I have had some luck getting it to boot to BIOS though, but this just seems to be a random chance.

This looks like a hardware related problem. If I understood correctly It does not happen with Windows only but when the PC starts before Windows loads. Probably video card problem or some cable. I am afraid you will need to bring this computer (or ship it) to service - HP Authorized service center. If the computer is still under warranty, you will need to notify HP support first. If you are not sure where such a center is located, please contact HP support for assistance in finding one. Here is more info:
