When I power on it states choose an option 1) troubleshoot 2) turn off your PC…well I’ve tried both and nothing works. So let’s back up and say for starters I choose option 1) troubleshoot than it takes me to advanced options 1) startup repair 2) command prompt 3) uninstall updates 4) UEFI Firmware 5) system restore 6) system image recovery….I’ve literally tried every single one as none of them do anything either…..back up again and say I choose option 5) system restore than I get an error code stating “to use system restore you must Spector which windows installation to restore. Restart this computer select an operating system and then select system restore” however. Again after restarting there is no option to choose which windows….for the love of god my kids just need to do their homework and now going on two weeks they’re failing and I cannot get this laptop on correctly. ANY HELP WILL BE GREATLY APPRECIATED

Excellent description and a great diagnosis. It is greatly appreciated.           

 

This could be a hardware issue. However, let's try a few steps here. 

 

POWER DRAIN:

Please disconnect all the devices and cables connected to your computer including the power cable and then press and hold the power button for about 20 seconds and connect the power cable back again and try to power on the computer.

CBR:

Press windows key and then followed by the key "B" this time and then the power button for around 3-4 seconds, then release the power button and continue to hold windows+B for 3-4 seconds more.

CMOS RESET:

Press windows key and then followed by the key "V" and then the power button for around 3-4 seconds, then release the power button and continue to hold windows+V for 3-4 seconds, you may not receive a response from the computer, Please let me know what happens.

 

If this does not help, I recommend you contact phone support for further assistance.
