Probably because your notebook came with Windows in S-mode which only allows programs available from the Microsoft Store to be installed in PCs with that operating system.

 

Zoom is available from the Microsoft Store.

 

Zoom Workplace - Download and install on Windows | Microsoft Store

 

Your other option is to switch out of S-mode to the regular version of Windows where you can install any program you want.
