Please see Intel Graphics Driver for Windows® 10 and Windows 7*/8.1* [15.40] Release Notes (pdf), which indicates that the driver supports the following Chipset/OS combinations;
On 6th Generation Intel Core and Intel Mobile Xeon processors and related Pentium/Celeron:
Microsoft Windows 10® 64-bit
Microsoft Windows 8.1* 64-bit
Microsoft Windows 7* 64-bit, 32-bit
On 5th Generation Intel Core processors and related Pentium/Celeron:
Microsoft Windows 10® 64-bit
Microsoft Windows 8.1* 64-bit, 32-bit
Microsoft Windows 7* 64-bit, 32-bit
On 4th Generation Intel Core processors and related Pentium/Celeron:
Microsoft Windows 10® 64-bit, 32-bit
On Braswell/CherryTrail family processors:
Microsoft Windows 10® 64-bit
Microsoft Windows 8.1* 64-bit
Microsoft Windows 7* 64-bit
I believe you have the correct Intel driver, however Intel may stop the driver from being installed on a system that has an OEM customized driver already installed. Read... if you still have the original OEM(HP) OS and OEM(HP) drivers, the new Intel driver may not install on your computer. This is confirmed by the error dialog box message of "Please obtain the appropriate driver from the computer manufacturer."
Currently HP doesn't list any updated Intel Graphics drivers for your computer.
If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

It could be that the Intel CPU in that notebook is: 2.2gHz 5th generation Intel Core i5-5200U Dual Core
And the specs for the download of the driver Version: 15.40.28.4501 says "Windows® 10 on 4th Generation Intel® Core™ processors."
I am no expert but it would indicate to me that is the wrong driver for that laptop.
I'm not an HP employee.
