Why  do HP techs constantly tell people to press f10 at startup to enter BIOS selection screen? It's ESC, not F10.

Do you know how many questions I see people saying f10 doesnt work and no HP techs EVER say "oh yeah it's the ESC button not f10? They just rattling off pages of fixes that don't work, links to threads that have nothing to do with the question etc.

Seriously, 1 hour of wasted time before some teenager on youtube showed me the ESC not f10 method. It took 60 seconds! Sad that a teenager could fix a problem that so many have that HP techs are seemingly clueless about.

Hello

if you press ESC , you enter Boot Menu, then you have to press F10 to enter BIOS Setup

or you can press F10 directly ,several time.

I prefere to press and release ESC key until I see in the lower left side of the screen the string "Entering boot menu".

Once the boot menu is on the screen IF press F10.

finally it's F10, at least for commercial computer.

bye
