HP Notebook - 15-da0599sa
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello, my family own a HP Notebook - 15-da0599sa Laptop and I just discovered that the device does not support the Windows 10 20H2 update and I'm not sure why it's not compatible? Please help me on this one and what should I do when updates stop being supported on Windows 10 v2004?

Hi:

I have much older notebooks and desktop PC's than yours and they are all running the latest release of W10 (21H1) with no problem.

I checked the specs for your notebook and do not see anything from the specs that would prevent it from running W10 v21H1.

You can click on the blue Update Now button at the link below to force the update to v21H1, and if for some reason your notebook doesn't work right on v21H1, you can easily go back to the current W10 build you are on now.

Download Windows 10 (microsoft.com)

The HP support matrix below has the list of PC's tested for W10 20 H2.

Just because your notebook isn't on the list, doesn't mean that it won't work on the newest build of W10.

It just means that HP hasn't tested your model series.

I have an old HP nc6400 which was made in 2006, and it runs W10 v21H1 just fine.

It wasn't tested or supported for Windows 7, let alone W10.

Thank you for the info @Paul_Tikkanen. I am now assured that my family's laptop will support the latest version of Windows 10.
