When I start my laptop even thought the light and the fan is on it wont start its just a black screen. Its not a monitor problem because I tried recovering the bios and it showed me the process. The first time that happened I let it on for some hours and it worked but now it wont work again. I tried reseating the Ram Cards. I dont know if its relevant but the wifi key has a red light on. I dont have the battery attached ,only the power plug . I have even tried removing the plug and pressing the power button to drain the battery.

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.
I see that your HP G62 laptop won't turn on normally, I appreciate your efforts to try and resolve the issue.
Let's try:
Hard Reset:
1) Shutdown the computer.
2) Unplug all the Adapter and peripherals connected.
3) Press and hold down the power button for 15 to 20 seconds.
4) Plug-in the Adapter.
5) Try to turn on the computer.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

Somehow my wireless mouse blocks the normal startup of the laptop. If I unplug it I dont have any problem it starts normally and I plug it when I am in the home page and works fine. If I have it plugged in before the homepage it wont start I only have black screen. Can anyone explain this?
