I am getting a new ssd for my week old laptop. I will be doing a clean install from a usb drive using the installation tool. I don't have any activation / product key, will I need one to get the job done well?

Hi:
You won't need to know or enter the W10 product key.
It is in the BIOS chip, and when you go to install W10, it will pick up the product key in the BIOS automatically, and activate once you are connected to the internet.
If you want to know what the product key is, I have zipped up and attached a free utility below, that will show you the W10 product key in the BIOS.
