Product: HP Pavilion dv2200 Entertainment Notebook PC series
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Window 10 is installing an update and says I need to update the BIOS first - product N9E08UA#ABA

Specific message:  HP Pavilion Notebook - BIOS needs to be upgraded before you can upgrade to Windows 10

It says I need to manually uninstall the app because it is incompatible with Windows 10.  I've been running Windows 10 since I purchased the notebook over a year ago.

You can download the latest BIOS for your PC here:  http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp80001-80500/sp80252.exe


Download + Run the installer and then once the BIOS update has completed you can try running Windows Update again to see if the same error occurs.

Thanks very much for your help.  The Windows 10 update took hours to complete, but it appears to have been successful.
