My laptop does not seem to be supported with Windows 10 version 1809. What do I do now?

@amc4

Your model PC came witn Win10 Home x64 preinstalled.

So, what  makes you say it is not compatible with Win10 v1809?

Hi, @amc4

I don't see your PC's model series listed in the HP support document matrix for W10 v1809, but that doesn't necessarily mean that it can't, or won't run just fine on v1809.

All you can do is give it a try and if there is a problem, you can go back to the current build you are on in a few minutes within 30 days of updating, as long as you don't delete the Windows.old folder.

Watch this video for how to go back to your current build.

What I mean is that my OS is at 1803, and "check for updates" does not present me with the oportunity to upgrade to 1809.

Thanks for that  good advice! I think I'll just:  a) do an image backup under 1803 via Macrium Reflect, b) d/l 1809, and c) restore from Macrium if need be.

You're very welcome.

Windows 10 is pushed to PC's on a random schedule as far as I can tell.

All of my PC's are older than yours and only one got the update via Windows Update.

You can just click on the blue Update Now button at the link below to get the latest W10 version...
