Product: EliteBook 850 G5
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My company is using SCCM to update our workstations from Windows 10 1803 to 1909; and there has been some arguments relating to driver updates.  Is there a reason why we should not update our drivers to the latest drivers certified for Win 10 1909?

 

I feel that we should include the latest driver pack when installing new Feature Releases, but my team is pushing back.  I'd like to hear the community thoughts.

The BEST policy when installing an OS or updating one, on any laptops, is to use the drivers supplied by the manufacturer.

 

HP does not generally supply drivers for specific versions of Windows 10, nor to they generally UPDATE drivers for specific versions of Win10 -- but there are exceptions.

 

I would use the latest HP drivers you can find and do the deployment using those.
